New Christmas Jewelry Creations

I was at Wal-Mart the other day looking at Christmas stuff and I came across some of the cuttest miniture polymer clay ornaments. They are about 1 inch to an inch and a half tall. You get 4 on a card for $1.00 and they would make the cuttest pendant or earrings! They have Santa's and Snowmen as well as candy cane's and lots of other mini ornaments. I bought 4 packs of them to make myself some Christmas creations as well as I am going to make a few simple necklaces to give to relatives as a "just because gift." As much as I hate to send people to Wal-Mart, you have to stop by and see the mini ornaments because they are cute and interesting enough that you could make some really cute holiday jewerly with them.

What a nice day!

Today was a really nice day. People came in the store all day talking about how dreary it was outside but I was really enjoying the weather because of the coolness. I love COLD weather! Today was also a great day because the lady over the Look Good Feel Good Program came by and picked up the earrings that people donated for the earring drive. She was so excited that we had done that! She said that they had 8 people in their upcoming class and that they would be the first to dive in the basket. It made me feel good to know that we all did something that might lift someone elses spirits. Because of us someone might have a brighter day. I almost feel sorry for those who didn't donate because they don't get to feel this joy. I told the lady that we would try to help do something else later for them also or we would try to make this a yearly donation. I think I was as excited as she was.

I am finally getting the layout of the shop and where everything is memorized. I had to move everything because I have something really special planned about the first of December and I had to make room for a few things. I can't really say much now but we be able to later in November.

A New Day

Well, this may come as a shock to some of you but I completely changed around the store this weekend! The only things that didn't get moved was the register area and some things on the wall. Everything else is somewhere completely different. People always say that I like to move around the store alot but the thing I can't get people to understand is that I have to move things around to make room for new products. I am about to reach capacity so I may have to do a few "Out with the Old in with the New" sales. :) I really do enjoy moving things around thought :)

Sammy and I are going on another excersion to Chimney Rock Park today. Last week we bought season passes and hiked a short trail with our puppies. Today we are going to hike the "skyline trail" if it is open. This is the one that is on the top of the mountain above the actual chimney. We aren't taking the dogs today though because we want to see what the trail is like before we take them on it. Last week it was all we could do to keep them walking off the side of the mountain. By the time we got done with the trail I thought that I was going to have to carry Sammy and Lilly to the car. We had a great time though and I found out that I really enjoy hiking. It was the first time I had ever really done it and it was awesome. Seeing the beauty of my surroundings and being able to take my time and not be rushed was wonderful. It was also great because I left my phone in the car so i wouldn't be bothered with it either. All in all it was a great day!

For those of you who read my last blog....the puzzle is no longer on the kitchen table!

Puzzle!

I worked at Sammys shop all day today making jewelry samples for November classes. Since I made jewelry all day I needed something else to do when I got home so I started working with a puzzle. I love to do puzzles but I hardly ever get the chance to work with them. This Charlie Brown Pumpkin Puzzle arrived today so as you can see this is what I got finished and it will probably sit on our Kitchen Table for weeks. Guess that means we will be eating in front of the TV for awhile.
